CBR Training Program Launched in M. Atoll

The Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) training program, designed to build local capacity to assist persons with disabilities and senior citizens, has been launched today in M. Atoll.
The program will provide extensive information on how communities can work together to support vulnerable individuals living in their islands.
At the launching ceremony, State Minister of Social and Family Development, Ahmed Aathif, along with M. Atoll Council President, Mohamed Nimaal, and Muli Council President, Shammoon Rameez, met with program participants and delivered remarks.
In their speeches, all three officials highlighted the importance of such training programs. State Minister Aathif emphasized that there are many ways communities can collaborate at the island level to help vulnerable individuals overcome various challenges and provide them with urgent assistance. He noted that this training program will help identify these approaches and share this knowledge with participants.
The program will run from the 25th to the 28th of this month.
The Community Based Rehabilitation (CBR) program is designed to improve the living conditions of persons with disabilities and senior citizens by providing assistance at the community level. An important component of this program involves visiting the homes of these individuals, assessing their situations, and arranging support for their essential needs using locally available resources.
